Qatari and British special troops enter Syria

Units of Qatari and British special troops have entered Syria, Israeli mass media report referring to “informed sources”.
According to the sources, the foreign troops are now deployed in the vicinity of the city of Homs, one of the main strongholds of the Syrian opposition.
British and Qatari troops are directing rebel ammunition deliveries and tactics.
Artillery shelling and bombing of Homs have been on for more than five days.
The Russian Foreign Ministry is worried about the fact that the UK and Qatar have sent their contingents of special forces into Syria.
The news about this comes from an Israeli media source, but spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich says that Russia will check this information more thoroughly.
Mr. Lukashevich reminded that Russia is constantly trying to do what it can to settle the Syrian crisis by peaceful means. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has spoken about Russia’s views on settling the Syrian conflict almost daily.
On Thursday, the Israeli website “Debkafile” wrote that UK and Qatari forces were supporting armed opposition groups in the Syrian opposition’s main stronghold in the city of Homs. The site wrote that instructors from the UK and Qatar are training Syrian militants and supplying them with weapons and communication equipment.
